So many requirements :P
As I said before we have a lot we have to tackle this semester. To begin with we have to have extra vaccinations and a drug test for some of us who have certain clinical placements. This is frustrating because time limits and financial issues. Although I have finished these and am all set for the semester I am frustrated with how everything is set up. I believe if you are going to require extra items then people should have at least a 3 week notification. As far as reading and assignments only the first lecture chapters and things due the first lab and what to wear should be posted early. We have had so much e-mailed to us that all of our students are literally wigging out! It's more stress than necessary but I understand they are trying to help us out as much as possible. Maybe just send out clinical orientation requirements and syllabi then answer remaining questions as they come. Maybe they have tried this in the past and it didn't work, but it seems smoother to me. ("Said the girl who has never been through this") haha. As far as books go for this semester I bout all new with e-book versions for $356. it is pricey but it could have been much smaller with used and sharing the iv drug guide or clinical companion for OB, so there is hope for your pocketbook. As far as the excess requirements, I have had my TDaP, flu shot, and drug test and turned them in. Now just waiting for classes to start while I trudge through the rest of the suggested and required reading. :) Hope you all enjoyed your summer because its all gone now. I , myself am hoping to squeeze in one last hoo-rah before classes start on Monday. Will do my best to keep you informed but no promises of info until December. Peace out!!
