Catch Up
I cannot believe I have just left this blog in the dust. Sorry for that. I became consumed by the load of third semester then enjoyed christmas and floated through fourth semester of critical care and pediatrics. I have been enjoying my family and school work so have not thought too much about anything else.
Quick recap: Critical care was my favorite class of fourth. We have one of the best professors of the world teaching that class at MTSU. I enjoyed peds due to my love and passion for the population. That professor was also very well educated and experienced which lead to a wonderful class, I just connected more with the CC professor. I finished fundraising and attended a medical service mission to Guatemala with fellow students in my program. An awesome experience that I can never forget and will impact my future practice. I also applied and was denied an extern position (great interview experience though). I then spent the summer exploring state parks in our area and going on mini vacays.
I enjoyed my summer and have been back to school for 2 weeks now. The classes this semester (psych, community, and leadership) are going well so far. Have new professors in two of the classes so have found a few hiccups but have been working with them to smooth them out and make the best of what we have. I am super excited to be graduating in 95 days!! My goals for the next 6 months are that I can keep focused and finish this degree, obtain my license, and then start working towards the next. I know I am being given the tools necessary to accomplish all of these and feel that I am ready. I also feel the nerves of reality setting in as everything nears completion.
A word of advice now that I am almost across the fence: Just breathe! Take everything a day at a time and remember that it is just school. Work hard, stay focused, and you will succeed! :) I am going to return to my work now and will do my best to keep this updated for the next 6 months. Good Luck everyone!
