Gerontology
Wanted to make an up-date about the grades. I pulled a 94 on the Gerontology test yesterday! which brings me to 3 B's and an A!! Yay!!
Also I am really enjoying Gero. Much more than I had anticipated that I would. I still don't know how I feel about working with terminally ill or fading patients because I haven't had much experience on the nursing side with the elderly. I am hoping to obtain my CNA license next summer and work for an elderly facility to see if I enjoy it as much as I think I will. To me it's a fascinating age group and even if I don't work with them I plan to be involved with them in some way. It also could be that since I am learning more about them that I am drawn to them. I have a feeling that I will want to work in every side of the profession that we dedicate a class to. :) Maybe I will just become a jack of all trades nurse. Dabble in many areas. Time will tell. I do still have a very strong desire to work in Neonatal just had not realized I would be as attracted to other areas. Well enough with the babbling I have study group to attend and then visiting family and working on my Gero project. Have a great weekend all! :)
